COME GROW SERVE
Sunday Services: 9:00 & 11:00 a.m.

Sundays: Newborn–Preschool

We want your child to take a first look
at who God is and understand . . .

These three basic truths are repeated over and over each Sunday as we teach from First Look curriculum by The reThink Group. We want these truths to create a solid foundation for your child’s spiritual walk.

Preschoolers (3–5-year-olds) learn the Bible lesson through a large group time that features fun sketches and a time of age-appropriate worship and singing. Afterward, the preschoolers head to smaller classes for hands-on activities that reinforce the Bible lesson using every learning style.

Two-year-olds are taught the same Bible lesson as the preschoolers each week, though at a more age-appropriate level. Weekly circle time consists of engaging lessons and energetic singing.

The Toddler Room features one-on-one and small group playtimes where one of the basic truths is reinforced each month.

The Baby Nursery focuses on just one basic truth—God loves me. Positive attitudes of love, acceptance, and security are formed as each baby’s immediate needs are met by caring and engaging workers.

Registration
There are no fees for Sunday kids activities and registration is not required.
Sign-in and Pick-up Procedures

1.  Check your child's name off the roster. If your child is not on the roster, ask the staff for a New Child Information Form and return the completed form when you pick up your child.

2.  Pick up one laminated card with a three-digit number on it and one sticky label.

3.  Write your child's first name and the three-digit number on the sticky label.

4.  Baby & Toddler nurseries: Make a note on the sticky label if you are leaving a pacifier or a bottle, or if your child can be given a snack. Preschool classrooms: Write special notes on the sticky label (i.e. no snack, allergies, epi pen, behavioral concerns, etc.).

5.  Put the sticky label on your child's back. Take the laminated card with you—you'll need it to pick up your child.

Labeling System—Label all of your child’s bags, bottles, and pacifiers. Label one diaper with your child’s name and place it on the diaper changing station in the room. If your child is potty training, place an “I’m Potty Training!” sticker (found in the attendance roster folder) on your child’s back.

Contacting You—If we need to contact you at any point during the service, the number on your badge will be posted on the screen in the Sanctuary. If your number comes up, check on your child immediately. If you will not be in the Sanctuary during the service, write your location on the roster sheet so we will be able to find you. Texting for pick-ups is also available.

Picking Up Your Child—You must present your number badge in order to pick up your child. No child will be released without the correct number badge. If the number badge is lost, Pastor Brooke must be contacted before the child can be released from the room. For your convenience, the parent’s number badge has a clip and may be attached to a shirt or purse.

Snacks

Cedar Valley Church provides snacks for all nursery/preschool rooms (Cheerios in the Baby Nursery and Goldfish or Animal Crackers in all other rooms). We are happy to feed your baby his/her bottle upon request, but we do not feed children anything other than the snacks listed above. Notify the staff if your child should NOT have a snack.

Parent-Cooperative Program
Our Sunday morning nursery and preschool classes are a parent-cooperative program involving every parent as well as other volunteers and teachers. We ask that each parent serve three times per quarter to help keep our classes at or ahead of the state standards for adult-to-child ratios, as well as assist the regular teachers with classroom order and care. This increases the ministry value and the quality of individual care given to each child.
