The worship band consists of drums, percussion, bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and keyboard musicians. Auditions are open to talented individuals, high school age and older, who have a heart to worship and desire to lead the congregation into the presence of God.
Worship Team Vocalists
These singers are the main worship leaders for the congregation. Active involvement in the Worship Department is a prerequisite. Auditions are held once a year.
The tech team is for those who have technical skills or who have an interest in learning how to facilitate worship through innovative equipment.
Media positions include:
• Audio engineering: house mix and recording
• Lighting: design, programming, operation
• Video: production, switching, camera operators
• Computer operator: lyrics, sermon notes, videos
Set design, construction, decoration, stage props, wardrobe, theatrical make-up, and holiday decorating all require many volunteers in addition to the musical and dramatic teams. If you are gifted in administration and organization, additional opportunities exist to serve as Production Coordinator, Technical Director, Stage Manager, or Backstage Manager.
The Sunday services and seasonal events are enhanced by the ministry of drama. From simple monologues and sketches to dramatic presentations both live and on video, Cedar Valley believes drama enables us to communicate the message of Jesus Christ effectively to a wide range of people. Auditions are held in September and January to assess new actors for involvement in productions, Sunday services, video elements, and voiceovers.
Youth Fine Arts
The Fine Arts Festival, which is held in the spring, gives an opportunity for students to excel in their gifts and use their creativity for ministry. Students must be enrolled in grades 6–12 to participate.
Youth Worship Team
Cedar Valley places a high value on developing young worshippers. Teams are assembled to facilitate worship for kids, junior high, and senior high services.
For children grades K–5, we offer a quality music program which emphasizes musical skills, vocal technique, ministering through music, and having fun. Click here for more information on the Kids Choir.
