Thriving Today

This is the first message in our teaching series, “Daniel: Thriving in a Shifting Culture.” For 70 long years, Daniel and the Israelites were held captive, living as exiles in enemy land. 2 Kings 24:3 says this happened at the command of the Lord because of Israel’s sin. For generations, Israel had been marked by disobedience and unfaithfulness to God, and while He was incredibly patient with His people, they were now experiencing the consequences of their actions. The prophetic book of Daniel provides hope for the suffering and it shows us that kingdoms of this world are not beyond God’s control. In the midst of all the suffering, Daniel was faithful to God. The book of Daniel is a playbook of how to live a godly life in an ungodly culture. It’s not just about surviving, it’s about thriving.
