A food pantry for our community
Food in the Hood
Getting enough to eat is a problem for the 15% of US households facing food insecurity. As if that weren’t bad enough, food insecurity in households with children is significantly higher—nearly 21%.
The Food in the ‘Hood program operates client-choice food shelves and hot meal programs in Bloomington and North Minneapolis, serving 2,500 individuals each month.
Each family receives high-quality essential grocery items, a delicious meal, health and nutritional support, advocacy, opportunities to respond to the love of Jesus, and a personal touch of kindness from an amazing team of difference-makers.
Food in the Hood is at Cedar Valley—a pantry right here in the church!
There is no income requirement—just show up!
