Elementary Sundays & Wednesdays

Check-in

Our electronic check-in system allows us to keep your child safe, contact you if necessary, and keep accurate attendance records. If this is a one-time visit and your family doesn’t need to be added to the electronic system, talk with a check-in volunteer when you arrive.

Volunteers

All volunteers and staff who work with minors are background-checked and trained before they begin, so you can feel confident your kids are in safe hands. Volunteers wear kids' branded t-shirts as identifiers that they are authorized to work in the area. We’re committed to creating a safe environment where children are cared for by trusted adults.

Large Group Environment

Large Group begins with worship through song and dance, followed by a short game. Kids will then learn the BIG SO WHAT (teaching main point) through a Bible story, characters, and interactive lessons that help build an understanding of God's character, the Bible, and how the Holy Spirit works in their lives.

Small Group Environment

We want kids to see how God's Word (Bible teaching) fits into their everyday lives through learning how to talk to Him and building friendships that last. After participating in the large-group setting, kids meet in age-appropriate small groups to help them process and understand the lesson. Small group time consists of an activity and discussion questions.

Open Sundays After Service on the North Side of Kids Auditorium

We’ve created a journal using the S.O.A.P. Bible reading method that helps kids practice spending time with God. As an incentive, kids can earn stamps by completing pages and then use them to purchase items at the Kids Shop. Journals are available at the Kids Shop, and the Weekly S.O.A.P. Verse can be found on the Sunday Recap card on the brick resource wall.

Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge (BGMC)

We believe kids should learn and practice generosity by following what the Bible teaches. They have opportunities to give on Sundays and Wednesdays. Their giving helps meet physical needs—like food, water, shelter, and medical care—around the world, while also helping others hear about Jesus. Kids support various mission projects through partnership with BGMC.

LEVEL UP helps students in grades 3–12 discover their gifts and abilities and provides volunteer opportunities to use those gifts to make a difference in and outside the church.

For health standards, children must be free of fever or symptoms of a contagious disease, or have been on medication for a full 24 hours before entering the Kids Auditorium or a classroom. For your child's comfort and safety and the health of others, please don't bring your child to Cedar Valley Kids if he or she has any of these symptoms:

• Fever
• Vomiting
• Lethargy
• Earache or a toothache
• Runny nose w/ ample flow
• Diarrhea
• Sore throat
• Yellowish skin or eyes
• Hacking or wet cough

Please use good judgment if your child is experiencing symptoms not listed above. If your child starts exhibiting any of the symptoms listed above during service, you will receive a text asking you to pick up your child.
