Passing the Baton
Passing the Baton
Through Jonah’s journey, we saw him run from God, be rescued by God, and then respond to God. Jonah wasn’t just saved from drowning; he was saved for the Ninevites. In the same way, according to Romans 10, we’ve been saved from sin by the grace of God—but it doesn’t stop there. We’re saved for a mission. Just like in a relay race, faith is a baton meant to be carried and passed on. How can people believe unless someone goes, tells, and is sent? Romans 10 is God handing us the baton. We are saved from sin, destruction, and death. God has given us life in Him, and we’re saved for our neighbors and the nations. Faith isn’t finished until it’s passed on.
