Who’s Really in Charge

When we decide to follow Jesus, we receive Him as both Lord and Savior of our lives. But Jesus can’t be Lord unless He is Lord of everything in our lives. Everything we have has been given to us by God. Therefore, we’re not owners but stewards of all that we have, including our time, talents, and treasures. In the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25, Jesus teaches about stewardship. Stewardship is how we live out lordship. Since everything belongs to God, we must surrender everything to Him and faithfully manage what He has entrusted to us, knowing that one day we will give an account. Stewardship is how we live out Lordship.
