Patient Endurance

Patience is something that seems to be lacking in the world today. Information loads instantly on our phones, and we get easily frustrated when it doesn’t load as quickly as we want. We can skip ads and commercials, and it’s annoying when we can’t. We can travel farther and faster than at any other time in human history, yet we all know the rage slow traffic brings during construction season. And in the midst of this impatient world, we read in James that followers of Jesus are called to be patient. We’re called to be patient with people and patient through challenging circumstances. When we trust in God’s character and God’s timing, we’re able to have patience. God’s Timing + God’s Character = Our Patience.
